Edexcel GCSE PE  - A Summary of the Course
The GCSE PE Course is divided into two parts – Theory, which is worth 40% of the total marks and Practical, which is worth 60% of the total marks. If a student takes the Full Course the written examination is out of 80 marks. If they take the Short Course, the written examination is out of 40 marks.
In the practical part of the examination each student  must choose four practical activities to perform in at a reasonably good standard.  In addition to this they must do an Analysis of Performance, in which they choose a sport to study and either answer questions, complete a presentation or a written project on that sport.

Section 1.

Physical activity as part of your,healthy , active lifestyle
Exercise as part of your healthy, active lifestyle.
Healthy, active lifestyles and how they could benefit you
 
 
Your personal health and wellbeing
Influences on your healthy, active lifestyle

Section 2.

A healthy active body and your skeletal system
Physical activity and your healthy mind and body
 
 
A healthy active lifestyle your cardiovascular system
A healthy, active lifestyle and your respiratory system
A healthy, active lifestyle and and your muscular system
